Broker Launch is led by its founder and managing director, David Lawless, who still works directly with new brokers through training, onboarding and the day-to-day of getting a commercial finance business off the ground. It's the thing our brokers mention again and again, from a former police officer who changed careers to experienced sales professionals finding a direct route to market.
David brings a career spanning renewable energy finance, private aviation, debt restructuring and commercial lending, with more than £500m in transactions handled. He's as comfortable building large-scale funding operations as he is advising on complex, time-sensitive mandates where speed and discretion matter, the kind of experience now built into how Broker Launch trains and supports its brokers.
He's also a serial founder. Before Broker Launch, David built and ran a string of finance businesses, including Secure Track Finance, MoneyMatic and Finance Professionals UK, connecting business owners, property investors and developers with funding when the banks said no. He continues to operate at the top of the market as a partner in OrionOS One, a private-access capital club.
That conviction comes from hard experience. Having entered commercial finance building through third-party broker relationships, David watched more than £290,000 of expected commission vanish overnight in 2018 when one of those relationships failed.
It exposed the real risk of building a business on relationships and infrastructure controlled by someone else. Broker Launch was created to offer a different route: independent brokers operating under their own brand, holding their own lender relationships, and using shared training, technology and support to build an asset they genuinely own.
